...in the middle of a new art project. This time with major label Rock Band Kill Hannah. The original art piece is an interpretation of the five current band members, them being morphed to one big hovering "object". Dedicated and influenced by their song "Snowblinded" the final art work will be auctioned of to a charity organisation jet to be announced.

Art piece Number 9, for our exhibition openeing in Saalbach (8.7.2011)

I finaly dedicated some art to my number one rock band 'Alice in Chains'! I don't know why - but it took my some courage to paint this song. Not that that the song is crazy - but so true to many others...

The lyrics explain the piece:

"Put our heads together
Because a signature could change our future
For some wrote you a letter begging you to reconsider

Fear the voices you hear today
If you still have choices we'll blow you away..."

You don't have to watch an addiction grow - you can help... if you're help is accepted. And when reading this... are you addicted? When does addiction start...!?

After being asked a couple of times if there are any Jimi shirts left, we desiced to put out a second edition. The idea of using to colours, which overlap with a bit of size different to a create a third one has been there from the start. It is even more psychedelic then before.

Final "THE AWAKE FROM A MISTAKE"

Discribtion:

The unfinished cross in the pictures background stands for the 8feet hole mankind is digging to be buried in. This is a visualisation of a possible nuclear destruction. The art piece handles not only with nuclear contamination as a thread to mankind but also deals with the unborn child. Resembled by the scepter, which is held by the woman in height of where the ovaries is placed at.

The pictures tone and colors are held in white, grey, black and red - since the piece is dedicated to the events that have taken place in Japan (related to the Japanese flag).

Thoughts to the piece:

Do you think I really know what happened down there? Do you think people who weren't in Japan, when this catastrophical earthquake occured, can really feel along with each little tragedy that took place?...

I know I can't - What I'm up to now is simple: With "The Awake From A Mistake" I want to participate to a nuclear free world we all can live in. Of course there are always two sides of a medalion (a theme far to long to discuss) - but the Japan incident is a "wonderful" tragically example of what can happen. A mistake only human and capitalism is to blame for. Well - you want to become rich...?! Then can you take the responsibilty wealth brings with it? A mistake we can/will learn from. Well - and that is what this art work is all about...

So wish me luck with the finish!

Vienna, MuseumsQuartier/ Spin That Record Opening

We counted about 250 visitors in just four hours... The Museums Quartier (Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art Vienna) hosted us and our art this evening. It was the people, the art and Eva Gössl our Austria Agent who made this night unforgettable. At this point I have to be honest - in my eyes the buffet was the best art piece at the exhibition - an art piece that was gone by the end of the night.
All in all a grand opening for the art tour 'Spin That Record'

BOLD AS LOVE SHIRTS || SECOND EDITIONS

The first edition (limited 50 pieces) went away as quick as it came. We had two versions in mind from the start, chose the one colour version - two see how psychedelic it will get. As the first one went well, we desided to drop the two colour verson on the counter now!

Here are some pics of the production...
The white version (50 pieces, men and girls) will be available at the "Spin that Record" show in Vienna at the MQ. There will be also soon a heather grey (15 pieces, guys only) and a heather blue (15 peices, girls only) available at the onlinestore, also the white one being available there.

SPIN THAT RECORDS || FRAMEWORK

The frames of "Spin that Records" were made out of austrian spure, which was from a small hut out of Gössl, Grundelsee, which is the center of Austria. The wood is the original one from 1837. With it comes great colours as deep grainfading on the outside, inside you find some of the strongest and dryest wood you can imagen. The wood and framework was done by our old friend Joe Mayerhofer - BIGGEST THANKS for helping out and being part of it!

We could have never thought to have such good and nice frames for the show,

DAY OUT IN LONDON

RHYTHM "GIVE A TRUNK" Charity Auction

RHYTHM was the proud host of the "GIVE A TRUNK" Charity Auction held during Wängl Tängl 2011 in Mayrhofen - Tyrol - Austria. 8 Artists provided individuall artworks which were transformed onto unique RHYTHM Trunks (Boardshorts). 1.550,- Euros were raised at the auction for the "RHYTHM BROKEN BIRD FOUNDATION". At the end of the night the whole amount was donated to Thomas Weichselberger from Mayrhofen who nurses damaged and injured birds of prey in Tyrol.

I just finished a TOLIX chair for the 11th LEON restaurant, opening in London's Soho, March 2011. I created an abstract giraffe plus a whole story that fits to that picture. After fiinishing the chair I was invited to a photoshooting, since LEON wants to present to artist as well (I'll get my first wall of fame ;-)

BUSINESS CARDS

Limited Edition 100 piece artist business card. The back was made with a stamp on wooden veneers (ash and cedar) all coming from Styria, so they didn't need to travel the whole world to get produced. Austrian Quality. The front is a digital print onto pearl paper, which has a fine textured graphic to get some depth. All done in late 2009.

We used some ink to give the front a bit a faded touch, just enough to not ruin the natural silky shine of the pearl paper. The back was a leathery feeling to it with fine but deep structured grains. The graphic on the back has a lot of optical depth - which was produced by layering paper, paint, ink and print.

MUSIC LOGOS

All Logos where ment to have a bit of a 70s spice to it, while using the Bands names. Aimportand factor was to interpreded them in a way, to fit them into nower day life, which reflecting their music. The bottom Logo was done by Dan Sharpe of Two Pence, a close friend we outsource when ever it might get tight, the others by the Bubbles & Bones Core group.

Two days of livepainting at the Westbournestudio in upper Notting Hill/London! The exhibition will last for two weekes from yesterday on. We had a whole pack of DJ's performing there as well as also some t-shirt labels which presented their newest collections.A really fun show to say so!
